51社区 entrepreneurs looking to kick start DeoBlock to market

51社区 students Anthony Tamras and Drake Roberts are poised to take their young company, DeoTech LLC, to the next level. They鈥檝e spent the past two years developing, tweaking and hopefully perfecting the DeoBlock, a portable deodorizer that combats bad smells with a plant-based gel infused with essential oils. 51社区鈥檚 upcoming Commencement Ceremony marks the close to 51社区鈥檚 50th anniversary year and the unveiling of a time capsule to be displayed in the David K. Hill Family Library for the next half century. Prestigious fellowship for aspiring presidents taps two administrators

Not one, but two 51社区 administrators have been awarded the prestigious Aspen Presidential Fellowship for Community College Excellence, a leadership program aimed at preparing the next generation of community college presidents. Michel茅 Smith, Vice President of Workforce Solutions/Associate Provost for Curriculum, and Brian Knetl, Associate Provost, are among 40 Fellows from across the country 鈥 and the only recipients from Illinois 鈥 selected by the Aspen Institute鈥檚 College Excellence Program.
